MAN JAILED AND HANDED FIVE-YEAR RESTRAINING ORDER FOR STALKING
A man received a jail sentence and a five-year restraining order after stalking a woman in Basingstoke.
Carl Gonzalez, 36, from James Road in Basingstoke, was involved in following the woman’s vehicle, entering her home without consent, arriving unexpectedly during her shopping trips, and repeatedly lingering near her residence over the period from December 2025 to January 2026.
He pleaded guilty to stalking that did not cause fear, alarm, or distress, and was sentenced to 12 weeks imprisonment by Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Thursday, 26 February.
A five-year restraining order has also been imposed to prevent any contact.
