KILWINNING MAN FACES TRIAL OVER PRAM ASSAULT AND ABUSIVE MESSAGES
A Kilwinning man named Calvin Kemp, residing on Waterside Road, is scheduled to face a trial in July accused of multiple charges involving abusive behavior.The charges include behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards his partner at a property in Glen Banks Road, Saltcoats on April 24, during which he allegedly acted aggressively, shouted and swore repeatedly, struck the front door, rang the doorbell, and demanded she come to the door.
The incident was reportedly aggravated by involving his partner or ex-partner.
Furthermore, he is accused of assaulting the woman by throwing a pram that struck her on the body.
The third charge involves sending a voice message to her that was considered grossly offensive, obscene, or menacing, containing abusive language and threats of violence.
Kemp pleaded not guilty to each of these charges, and the trial is set for July 25.
Bail conditions specify that he must not contact the woman or enter Glen Banks Road.
