SALTCOATS CHILD RAPIST ATTACKED GIRL NEAR ARDROSSAN ACADEMY
A 22-year-old man accused of repeatedly sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl is currently awaiting sentencing.Nicholas Paxton perpetrated the abuse multiple times over a two-month span from September 11 to November 16, 2022.
At the time of the offenses, he was 18 years old.
Last week, he pleaded guilty to a single charge at the High Court in Kilmarnock.
He confessed to sexually assaulting the girl at his former residence on Wheatley Road in Saltcoats and at a location known as 'The Dam' near Ardrossan Academy.
Reports indicate that the incidents at 'The Dam'—a place situated near Ardrossan Academy (see Street View)—included Paxton embracing the girl, kissing her, touching her inappropriately, performing a sexual act, and ultimately raping her, as detailed in court documents.
After entering his guilty plea, the court postponed sentencing to allow the preparation of reports.
Paxton is scheduled to appear again at the High Court in Kilmarnock later this year and has been released on bail in the meantime.
