GALASHIELS MAN CHARGED WITH 8 DOMESTIC VIOLENT OFFENCES

A GALASHIELS man faces three charges of assault to danger of life in a domestic abuse re­lated case.

Thirty-six-year-old Ben­jamin Ire­land is also accused of four counts of assault and a charge of threat­en­ing or abus­ive beha­viour.

He made no plea dur­ing a private hear­ing at Selkirk Sher­iff Court and the case was con­tin­ued for fur­ther exam­in­a­tion.

Ire­land was gran­ted bail by Sher­iff Peter Pater­son.
