Bartlomiej Smentek, aged 42, was convicted of stalking and breach of a non-molestation order in Cambridge.
The court heard that he followed his ex-girlfriend to her home, refused to leave when confronted by police, and committed multiple breaches of the non-molestation order imposed on him the previous week.
He entered her home in Cambridge on August 3 and cut off her broadband, disrupting her internet service.
Smentek also followed her while she drove home and disconnected her broadband again, which she discovered after spotting him cycle past her car.
He then returned to her property on August 31 shouting at her, leading to police arrest nearby.
During the trial, Smentek initially denied stalking but later admitted to the offence as well as nine breaches of the non-molestation order.
On March 11, he was sentenced at Cambridge Crown Court to four years and three months in prison.
DC Joanna MacKenzie commented, 'This was a harrowing ordeal for the victim as Smentek persistently went to her home and caused her distress.
I hope the conclusion of the court process, and Smentek’s subsequent jail sentence, will provide some comfort for her.'
