MAN JAILED FOR SEX OFFENCES AGAINST CHILD
A man received a prison sentence exceeding ten years after being convicted of sexually assaulting a young girl.Investigations in September of the previous year revealed significant medical and forensic evidence, leading authorities to bring three charges against Asa Ord.
Now 51 years old, Ord initially denied any involvement during police interviews but later admitted guilt to three counts of engaging in sexual activities with a minor during his court appearance at Nottingham Crown Court on 12 February 2026.
On Tuesday, 19 May, Ord, who previously resided in Worksop, was sentenced to a total of ten years and two months in prison.
He was also mandated to register as a sex offender and was issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order that will remain in effect for twenty years, imposing strict limitations on his activities after his release.
