MAN JAILED FOR ATTACKING AND STRANGLING WOMAN
A man from Northwich has been sentenced to prison following an assault in which he strangled a woman.Anthony McNally, residing on Waterbank Row, appeared before Chester Crown Court on May 26 for sentencing related to two offences.
During a hearing on April 10, the 51-year-old defendant admitted to deliberately strangling the victim and assaulting her, resulting in actual bodily harm.
The court was informed that the incident occurred in Northwich on March 11 of the same year.
Last Tuesday, Judge Lawrence McDonald sentenced McNally to 15 months in prison and issued a 10-year restraining order.
This court order prevents McNally from making any contact with the woman, directly or indirectly, through any means.
Additionally, he is barred from entering the property associated with the victim's residence in Northwich.
