ANTHONY FALLOWS SENTENCED IN LANCASTER FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES AGAINST YOUNG GIRL IN LANCASHIRE
A convicted sex offender, Anthony Fallows, has been sentenced to a significant prison term after being found guilty of engaging in sexual activities with a minor girl.The incident, which took place in the Southowram area, was brought to light during a trial held at Bradford Crown Court.
Fallows, aged 40 and residing on Raglan Road in Burnley, was identified as the perpetrator of these heinous acts involving a girl aged between 13 and 15 years old.
During the court proceedings on Thursday, January 18, the judge sentenced Fallows to a term of seven years and nine months behind bars.
The verdict reflects the severity of his actions and the justice system’s stance on protecting vulnerable minors from sexual exploitation.
Following the sentencing, Detective Constable Carly Hemingway, who is part of West Yorkshire Police’s Calderdale District Safeguarding team, issued a statement emphasizing the importance of victim support and justice.
She expressed her gratitude to the young girl who had the courage to come forward and report the abuse, acknowledging her strength in doing so.
Detective Hemingway stated, “I’d like to thank the victim who has shown tremendous strength to come forward and report this.
She feels that she has now got the justice she deserves.” She further highlighted the commitment of the local child protection unit, affirming that their dedicated team in Calderdale is resolutely committed to investigating sexual offenses and supporting victims.
The police official underscored that the jailing of Fallows serves as a clear message that, regardless of when the offense occurred, victims will be believed and treated with dignity and sensitivity.
