KELTY BULLY SLAPPED EX-PARTNER SO HARD SHE ENDED UP IN HOSPITAL BEFORE SMASHING HER PHONE
The attacker was 37-year-old Andrew Ward, from Kelty, whose long-term relationship with the woman had ended months earlier.Ward, of Keltyhill Road, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court, where represented himself.
He admitted that on October 28 last year at Fife Leisure Park, Whimbrel Place, he damaged property belonging to someone else by throwing a mobile phone to the ground and jumping on it.
He also assaulted his former partner by slapping her on the face.
He further admitted he assaulted a man by chasing him and then punched him multiple times on the head and placed him in a headlock to his injury.
Depute fiscal Eve McKaig said the couple had been in a 15-year relationship which ended last July.
At 8.50pm the woman and her new partner left the Odeon cinema and got into her car.
Ward had driven his vehicle into the space behind them.
There was a confrontation and Ward slapped the woman on the face, grabbed her phone, threw it to the ground then jumped on it causing it to smash.
Ward then attacked the new partner, punching him to the ground, getting on top of him and continuing to punch him.
He then put the man in a headlock restricting his breathing.
Both victims received treatment at the Victoria Hospital and there was £1,000 damage to the phone.
Ward, an HGV driver, said in his defence: “I didn’t know anything about their relationship until that day.
I asked both of them to get out of the car because the car belongs to me.” She also imposed a six-month non-harassment order.
