ANDREW GAMBLE FROM LONGBENTON SENTENCED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY IN NORTH TYNESIDE

In a case that has shocked the local community of Longbenton, North Tyneside, Andrew Gamble, a 31-year-old married man and computer expert, was sentenced to prison for possessing a significant collection of indecent images of children. The incident, which came to light in July 2003, has raised serious concerns about online safety and the protection of minors.

Gamble, who resides on Byland Road in Longbenton, was found to have stored approximately 40,000 pornographic images on his personal computer. Among these, authorities discovered around 1,500 images classified as indecent and involving children. These images were meticulously organized and labeled with descriptive names such as 'child sex' and 'pre-teen,' indicating a disturbing level of premeditation and intent.

The court proceedings revealed that Gamble's actions were deliberate and highly concerning, prompting a swift legal response.
