ALLAN JOHNSTONE SENTENCED TO 20 YEARS IN DUNDEE FOR DECADES OF SEXUAL AND VIOLENT CRIMES

A notorious serial sexual predator, Allan Johnstone, has been handed a lengthy prison sentence of 20 years following his conviction on a series of serious criminal charges spanning over thirty years across the Tayside region, including Dundee and Forfar.

Johnstone, who is 50 years old and originally from Brechin, was found guilty of a total of 26 charges. These charges encompass a disturbing array of violent and sexual offences, with particular emphasis on the rape of six women in the Dundee and Forfar areas between the years 1983 and 2004.

During the court proceedings, the presiding judge, Lord Bannatyne, described the case as one of the most severe he had encountered in his judicial career. In addition to his violent and sexual offences, the court uncovered disturbing acts of animal cruelty committed by Johnstone.
