BOLTON SEX PREDATOR JAILED FOR CHILD EXPLOITATION
A Horwich man, Alistair Sinclair, sent sexual messages to what he believed was a 13-year-old girl, only to discover he was speaking to an undercover police officer. The court heard that Sinclair messaged an account called NaomiP13 in April 2019 and asked the user to move to Kik.
He admitted to engaging in sexual activities with younger girls and invited the account holder to perform a sexual act on herself.
Police visited Sinclair’s home in August 2019, seized multiple devices, and uncovered further evidence of his sickening activity, which included contacting three alleged underage girls, requesting photos in school uniforms, and asking sexualized questions.
Authorities found 71 Category A (most serious), 72 Category B, and 325 Category C indecent images of children, along with one prohibited image.
Sinclair, aged 53 and of Winter Hey Lane, pleaded guilty to four counts of engaging in sexual communication with a child, one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, three counts of downloading indecent images, and one of possession of a prohibited image.
He was sentenced to 32 months in prison, received a sexual harm prevention order, and was placed on the sex offenders’ register for life.
The judge described Sinclair as having a clear sexual interest in females under 16 and stated that his intent regarding the police decoy was to have sexual activity.
