A woman from Aberfeldy named Jean Baillie, aged 56, is scheduled to appear in court later this month to face sentencing after she admitted to a serious assault involving her husband, Alistair Baillie.

The incident took place on December 22 at the residence known as Atholl House East, located on Atholl Terrace in Aberfeldy.

According to court records, Jean Baillie pleaded guilty to the charge of attacking her husband with a knife, which resulted in injuries.

The attack was described as a domestic incident, and the court proceedings have revealed that the couple has been living separately since the event.

Legal representative David Holmes informed Perth Sheriff Court that the separation was ongoing at the time of the incident, adding context to the case.

Sheriff Fiona Tait has decided to postpone the sentencing until later this month, pending the completion of reports that are expected to shed further light on the circumstances surrounding the attack.
