The woman believed she had only imagined her encounter with Alexander Liston (29).
Last Thursday, Alexander Liston appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court, where he admitted to sexually assaulting a woman by touching her private areas while she was asleep at a residence in Falkirk between June 15 and June 16, 2022.
Prosecutor Melissa Phillips explained that Liston was present at the woman's home when she took medication and went to sleep.
She described that the woman initially felt a gentle pressure on her thigh, which she thought was a cat lying on her.
The pressure then moved upward toward her groin, but due to her medication, she drifted back into sleep.
The prosecutor further stated that the woman later felt her hand being shifted and placed on what turned out to be the defendant's genitals, with pressure applied.
Despite this, she again fell asleep, believing she was dreaming.
She did not realize at first that anything had happened.
However, she later contacted Liston through Snapchat, where he expressed feelings of guilt.
He confessed to her that he had sexually assaulted her while she was unconscious.
Following this, police traced him to his workplace and arrested him.
