BOLTON MAN JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS AGAINST WOMEN
A man from Bolton has been sentenced to over four years in prison after being found guilty of committing multiple sexual assaults on women in the local area.Alan Worthington, aged 62 and a resident of Fern Street, carried out these crimes during April and May 2022, as revealed by an investigation from Greater Manchester Police.
The police confirmed that Worthington received a sentence of four years and two months behind bars.
One of the victims was left so traumatized that she was unable to walk alone, highlighting the serious nature of the attacks.
During the court proceedings, a taxi driver was recognized for working additional shifts to assist vulnerable individuals in making essential trips.
After the sentencing, GMP's Bolton CID Detective Constable Andrew Jameson commented on the case, saying: “The victims endured a terrible ordeal.
We are very satisfied with the sentence given to Worthington, which resulted from a comprehensive investigation by GMP.” He also acknowledged the courage shown by the victims and encouraged others affected by abuse to seek help, stressing the importance of speaking out.
