ALAN ROSYLN FROM BRANDON AND CROOK SENTENCED FOR CHILD ABUSE AND RAPE
In a case that shocked the local communities of Brandon and Crook, Alan Rosyln, an unemployed man, was found guilty of heinous crimes involving the sexual abuse of young children.The offences, which spanned several years, involved two girls who were only seven years old when the abuse began, highlighting the severity and prolonged nature of his crimes.
Rosyln's criminal activities came to light during a trial at Teesside Crown Court on May 2nd.
The court heard that he had committed eight counts of indecent assault on a girl under 16, as well as two counts of raping a girl under 16.
Additionally, investigators uncovered approximately 50,000 indecent images of children stored on his devices, further illustrating the extent of his criminal behavior.
The abuse took place at addresses in Brandon and Crook, where Rosyln exploited the innocence of his young victims over a period of several years.
His actions prompted a comprehensive legal response, resulting in a substantial prison sentence.
Rosyln was sentenced to a total of 12 years behind bars for his multiple offences.
As part of his punishment, the court imposed several strict orders to prevent any future harm.
Rosyln was ordered to register as a sex offender indefinitely and was disqualified from working with children for the rest of his life.
Furthermore, he was subjected to a sex offenders prevention order that lasts for an astonishing 999 years, effectively a lifetime ban.
In addition to these restrictions, Rosyln is prohibited from associating with, befriending, providing money to, or purchasing anything for any young person under the age of 18.
He is also barred from accessing the internet except through a public library system, aiming to limit his ability to reoffend or access harmful material.
The breakdown of his sentences reflects the gravity of his crimes.
He received seven-year concurrent sentences for each of the indecent assault charges, with additional sentences of eight years for similar offences.
The two counts of child rape resulted in 10 and 12-year sentences, with 28 days served on remand counting towards his total time.
The combined sentences underscore the court’s recognition of the severity of his actions and the need for long-term protection of the community from individuals like Rosyln.
In September 2014, it was announced that Rosyln would be released on licence the following week.
He was expected to spend approximately six months in the Teesside area before relocating to Suffolk, with further details to be provided as the situation developed.
As of February 2014, Rosyln was serving his sentence at HMP Frankland in County Durham, with his first parole appeal scheduled for later that year, indicating ongoing legal proceedings related to his incarceration.
