ALAN DOUGHERTY JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT IN RUNCORN

In a recent case that has drawn significant attention from law enforcement and the local community in Runcorn, Alan Dougherty, a 34-year-old resident of Grangeway, was sentenced to a two-year prison term after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 16. During the trial, Dougherty was convicted of a single count of sexual touching involving the young girl on July 1 of the previous year. However, he was acquitted of two other charges that had been brought against him, following the proceedings that concluded last month.
