BANBURY OFFENDER GANG JAILED FOR CHILD EXPLOITATION
A gang of five men and a teenager who subjected underage girls to sexual abuse in Oxfordshire after grooming them have been sentenced to prison.The offenders assaulted seven victims aged between 13 and 15 years old in cars, woods, or at their homes in Banbury.
The court was told that the gang enticed victims to parties organized via social media and was found guilty in March.
Sentences ranged from three to nine years.
Ahmed Hassan-Sule, aged 21, from Glyndebourne Gardens, was sentenced to nine years in prison with an additional five years on license; Mohamed Saleh, 22, of Orchard Way, received four years and nine months; Said Saleh,20, also of Orchard Way, was sentenced to four years; Takudzwa Hova, 21, of Broughton Road, was given six years with a further four years on license; and Kagiso Manase, 21, of Warwick Road, received five years.
Zsolt Szaltoni, 18, of Portway, was sentenced to three years in a young offenders institution.
The court heard one victim, who was 14, was attacked after attending a Facebook-organized party and described how she was forced into a car and scared during the incident, noting their planning in advance.
The victim also revealed that the abuse persisted afterward, including her feeling brainwashed into thinking she was making her own decisions, including engaging in sex work.
An investigation by the Kingfisher team, a multi-agency child exploitation unit, uncovered the abuse after visiting her at school.
She expressed regret that other girls had not come forward and shared her hope to join the Kingfisher team to help others in similar situations, calling it her 'closure.' The court found Hassan-Sule guilty of 13 counts of sexual activity with a child and one of assault by penetration, while other gang members were convicted of multiple counts including sexual activity with a child, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and sexual assault.
Sentences varied from three to nine years depending on the offender.
