HEREFORD MAN TO BE SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX CHATS

A man named Adam Twaites, aged 31, is set to be sentenced later this year after he pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual communication with children.

The court heard that Twaites had communicated in a sexual manner with a girl under 16, whom he did not reasonably believe to be 16 or over, in Hereford between April 1 and May 6 of the previous year.

Additionally, he contacted a second girl also under 16 and again did not believe her to be at least 16, between April 30 and May 8.

Twaites was brought before magistrates in August, and the case has been adjourned for sentencing with a pre-sentencing report ordered by the probation services.

He was released on bail and is scheduled to appear for sentencing on October 7.
