MEN JAILED FOR SEXUAL ABUSE OF TEENAGER
Six men from Halifax received prison sentences after being convicted of multiple sexual offenses involving a teenage girl.
The victim, who showed extraordinary bravery, spoke out after the trial, which culminated in her being supported by law enforcement.
The incident took place in the Calderdale region over a period from 2006 to 2009, starting when she was only 13 years old.
Detectives were informed of the accusations in 2019 when the survivor revealed the abuse she endured.
An investigation was initiated by specialized safeguarding officers, leading to the arrest and charges against the suspects.
In a trial lasting six weeks that began in February, a jury found all six men guilty of the crimes.
The sentencing took place at Bradford Crown Court on 22 May.
Mohammed Shehban, 42, from Halifax, was sentenced to 14 years in prison for two counts of rape.
