BOLTON SEX OFFENDER CAGED AFTER BREACHING COURT ORDER
A sex offender has been locked up after breaching his court order.
Abdimalik Salad, aged 22, was released from prison but failed to report to a police station within three days.
Salad, of Mill Hill, Bolton, was circulated as wanted by the police before handing himself into Bolton Police Station.
He was charged with failing to comply with notification requirements of the sex offenders register and brought before Wigan and Leigh Magistrates on September 25.
Magistrates sentenced him to 24 weeks imprisonment, saying that his offending was so serious that only custody can be justified.
His reasons for custody were his previous convictions, "history of disobedience of court orders" and previous breaches.
