AARON WILLIAMSON OF YORK SENTENCED FOR CRUELTY IN GRIMSBY

Aaron James Williamson, also known as Aaron-James Bagshaw, born on August 12, 1999, of Westerdale Way, Grimsby DN37 9BY, was convicted in 2020 of horrific crimes against a young kitten named Litten.

Williamson, who has publicly called himself a monster, subjected the kitten to repeated beatings and bit off most of its ear.

Williamson, who also uses the surname Bagshaw, received a lifetime ban from owning animals following a court hearing that detailed his shocking pattern of abuse.

The court heard that he admitted to losing count of how many times he had punched Litten, explaining he did so whenever he was angry.

He also confirmed that he bit the kitten's ear multiple times, which resulted in the loss of most of it.

He pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to a kitten.

The judge described Williamson’s actions as "sickening." The RSPCA confirmed that three kittens were rescued from Williamson’s home on September 11, 2019, after receiving a tip-off.

RSPCA inspector Kate Burris commented: "Williamson tortured this kitten.

He admitted repeatedly biting Litten’s ear, which resulted in the loss of most of it, and that he had lost count of the times he had punched Litten.

He said he did it when he was angry." District Judge Curtis described Williamson's behavior as "sickening," stating that his daily abuse of vulnerable animals unable to defend themselves was utterly unacceptable.

Burris added: "He called himself a monster in interview, and that was accurate as to how he behaved." The inspector praised the bravery of witnesses who contacted authorities and helped rescue the kittens despite the danger they faced.

Burris was struck by how affectionate Litten was upon medical examination, despite the abuse he had suffered.

"He was so friendly and loving, rubbing his face against mine, and I knew he would make a perfect addition to any caring family," she said.

Thanks to the intervention, Litten found a new loving home, where he is now well cared for.

The other two kittens, also rescued from Williamson’s home, have been adopted together in Derbyshire.

Williamson was sentenced to 12 weeks in jail, ordered to pay costs of £250 and a victim surcharge of £120.

He was also given a lifetime ban on keeping animals.

As of April 2023, it is reported that Aaron Williamson, also known as Aaron-James Bagshaw, now resides at 11 Castleton House, Garden Street, York, YO31 7QH.
