COSTESSEY SEX OFFENDER COULD FACE MORE CHARGES, COURT TOLD
Sex offender Aaron Nobbs caught with child images AGAIN A convicted sex offender, who had previously received a 16-month suspended prison sentence, has been caught possessing hundreds of images depicting child abuse for the third time.
Aaron Nobbs, aged 37, was discovered to have downloaded a collection of images and videos showing sexual acts involving minors between September 2024 and June 2025.
Prosecutors informed Norwich Magistrates’ Court that among these images, 95 were classified as category A, indicating the most severe content involving penetrative sex, pain, torture, or extreme humiliation.
Additionally, he downloaded 184 images categorised as B and 37 as C.
Nobbs admitted to three counts of creating indecent images and two violations of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for failing to register and for not providing access to his phone for inspection.
The court noted that this discovery was particularly serious given his previous offences, including a suspended sentence in 2024 for similar crimes involving 786 images.
His sentencing is scheduled for 14 July at Norwich Crown Court, where all options, including immediate imprisonment, remain on the table.
The case highlights the repeated nature of Nobbs’s offending.
He was first arrested in July 2019 at an address on Queensway in Wymondham, after which police were unable to access his phone for nearly four years.
His earlier conviction in 2024 involved a total of 786 images, and he was subsequently handed a 16-month suspended sentence.
The police public protection officers found that Nobbs had set up a secret internet cloud account and wiped the search history of a tablet device, complicating investigations.
The court was told that police were seeking advice from the Crown Prosecution Service over the contents of a seized Samsung phone, and were "anticipating further charges." Nobbs’s repeated offending, especially given the volume and severity of the images involved, underscores the ongoing risks he poses.
His case remains ongoing, with the possibility of additional charges and a more severe sentence upon sentencing in July.
