MAN JAILED AFTER SEXUALLY ASSAULTING PREGNANT WOMAN
A Dagenham man has been sentenced to nine months in prison after committing a sexual assault on a woman aboard a London Underground train.
Zane Donovan, of White Gardens, was also subjected to a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) and received a 41-week custodial sentence.
He was additionally ordered to register as a sex offender for ten years.
The sentencing took place at Inner London Crown Court on June 22, after Donovan admitted guilt to the sexual assault.
Furthermore, he was barred from approaching or speaking to any woman he does not know in public, including on transport, for five years.
The assault happened at around 6:30 pm on Friday, March 25, when the pregnant victim entered a Victoria line train at Green Park station.
She immediately felt a man pressing his groin against her from behind for about 20 seconds.
She challenged him, leading to his remark, 'How do you want me to stand, I got no space,' before he disembarked at Victoria station.
An investigation involving CCTV footage led to Donovan's arrest several days later.
