A disturbing incident involving a carer from Stirling has resulted in her being permanently barred from working within the social care sector.

Yvonne Millar, the individual at the center of this case, was caught on surveillance footage deliberately taking £20 from the handbag of an elderly woman she was entrusted to care for.

The incident was uncovered after relatives of the pensioner raised suspicions about her missing money, prompting an investigation into Millar's conduct.

Following the evidence, Millar admitted her guilt in court and was subsequently sentenced to six months in prison at Stirling Sheriff Court last year.

Her actions did not go unnoticed by the Scottish Social Services Council, which conducted a thorough investigation into her behavior.
