DOMESTIC ABUSER CHLOE ALEXANDER JAILED FOR STIRLING ASSAULTS
A woman who subjected her partner to years of abuse in Stirling has been sentenced to 30 months in prison.Chloe Alexander, aged 29, repeatedly assaulted her partner with punches and kicks, resulting in multiple injuries.
She admitted guilt at the High Court in Glasgow and was given her sentence on Wednesday.
The court heard evidence of a series of violent attacks over more than four years, as part of ongoing abusive behavior.
Although their relationship was initially described as “good,” with some minor early issues, it eventually “deteriorated.” Prosecutor Lynsey Rodger described an incident when Alexander’s partner approached her about an issue currently under police investigation.
Alexander responses included punching her in the jaw, verbally abusing her, and kicking her in the head.
She also punched, slapped, and used her knees to press down on her partner’s back, applying her full weight and causing her to struggle to breathe for roughly 20 to 30 seconds.
Miss Rodger stated: “She had pain to her chest, struggled to speak, and was close to losing consciousness.” Later that year, Alexander attacked her again, punching her face and making abusive comments during an argument.
The court also recounted previous assaults, including an incident at a carnival after Alexander lost her phone.
She refused to help search for it and proceeded to kick her partner’s bag repeatedly.
Once home, Alexander punched her partner’s face and nose with her knee.
The victim thought she had a concussion and initially left but then returned; Alexander then cried and apologized.
The injuries included bruises to her eye, face, and upper arm.
A year afterward, Alexander again punched her partner, causing bruising to her left eye, and hit her on the head to “embarrass” her at a bridge.
She also squeezed her neck for 5-10 seconds.
During police investigations, Alexander claimed these injuries resulted from “rough sex.”
