A woman struck her boyfriend with his own crutch following an argument that spilled out onto the street.Tracie Aldridge seized the aid from the man after he brandished it at her, the city’s sheriff court heard.
Fiscal depute Lucy Clark said neighbours phoned the police about the dispute at 11.30pm in Hazelbank Gardens in Stirling.
“The accused was observed by neighbours shouting at Mr Cochrane.
“She thereafter took Mr Cochrane’s crutch from him and engaged in a fight with him, during which she hit him on the body several times with the crutch.
“Mr Cochrane did not suffer any injuries as a result of this but already had a broken ankle, which is why he was using the crutch.” Solicitor Alistair Ross, defending, said Mr Cochrane had not wanted the matter to come to court and the two were keen to continue their relationship.
He said an argument – “silly boyfriend/girlfriend stuff” – had begun in a flat and spilled out onto the street.
Aldridge admitted behaving in a threatening and abusive manner at on October 19.
Sentence was deferred for good behaviour.
