JAIL TERM FOR EDINBURGH MAN OVER ONLINE SEXUAL MESSAGES
A 35-YEAR-OLD man who admitted sending repeatedly social media messages of a sexual nature to a woman has been jailed for seven months at Selkirk Sheriff Court.Willum Webster had previously pleaded guilty to the offence which happened at an address in Edinburgh in January 2014.
Sheriff Robert Fife discounted the prison sentence from nine months to seven months to reflect the guilty plea and made Webster, formerly of Galashiels and who gave an address in Edinburgh, subject to the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences Act for 10 years.
