RANDY COUPLE CAUGHT ROMPING IN FRONT OF HORRIFIED FAMILIES WHO CALLED IN COPS TO BUSY SCOTS PARK
A couple from Edinburgh was recently caught performing a sexual act in front of shocked families at a park in the city.Michele Doig was seen straddling Michal Kotecki while the two "grinded their groins together," with parents and children as young as six nearby at the Meadows in Edinburgh during last summer.
Concerned witnesses, who noticed the couple’s behavior while sitting nearby with their children, reported the incident to the police.
Both Doig and Kotecki, residents of Edinburgh, denied any misconduct but were found guilty of public indecency after a trial at the city's sheriff court earlier this year.
Eyewitnesses stated they were enjoying a day out with their children when they observed the couple playing music and rolling around on the grass at approximately 2:30 p.m.
on a Saturday.
One witness described seeing Doig "sitting on top of the male," noting that their "groins were meeting and grinding." He denied that the act was sexual or that he had touched Doig after she pulled up her dress to reveal her bra.
Doig, 47, who described herself as a grandmother and a former social care worker, explained in court that she had been drinking alcohol from around 11 a.m.
and went to the Meadows to meet Kotecki and enjoy the nice weather.
She claimed that they had been "listening to music on a phone and having a drink" when police approached them about their behavior.
Doig denied that she climbed onto Kotecki or that he tore her dress to show her breasts, asserting instead that they had just been "rolling around the grass but not in a sexual manner." After the evidence was presented, the couple was convicted.
During sentencing yesterday (Tuesday), Kotecki’s lawyer, James McMacken, remarked that "alcohol is a mitigating factor in this case" and characterized the incident as "more recklessness rather than deviant behavior." Sheriff John Cook ruled that the incident did not meet the criteria for sexual offenses registration and imposed a community payback order on the pair.
Both Doig and Kotecki were sentenced to be supervised by the social work department for the following year.
They were found guilty of engaging in public indecency, sexual activity, and removing clothing in the Meadows park in Edinburgh on September 6 of the previous year.
