WILLIAM SMART SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON IN WARRINGTON FOR BRUTAL MURDER OF ANGELA CRADDOCK

William Smart, aged 55, has been found guilty of the savage murder of his partner, Angela Craddock, at her residence in Howley, Warrington.

The court heard that Smart carried out a prolonged and frenzied assault, during which he beat Ms.

Craddock with a guitar and stabbed her with a broken drumstick, resulting in over 100 injuries.

The 40-year-old woman, described as vulnerable, was discovered naked and covered in injuries, having endured severe trauma during the attack.

It was revealed that Smart, who was intoxicated at the time, boasted about the killing after a drinking spree.

Shockingly, he had only recently been released from prison for attacking Ms.

Craddock, despite a court order preventing contact.

Judge Neil Flewitt sentenced Smart to life imprisonment, specifying a minimum term of 19 years before he becomes eligible for parole.
