William Mackenzie, a 46-year-old man from Inverness, found himself at the center of a disruptive incident at the Inverness Justice Centre that drew the attention of security personnel and ultimately resulted in his appearance before the local sheriff court.
According to court reports, the incident occurred early in the morning, shortly after 9am, when security staff noticed Mackenzie parking in a disabled bay without displaying the necessary badge.
His response to being questioned about this was laced with profanity, and he proceeded to declare that he could not pass through the building’s metal detector due to a medical condition involving a pacemaker.
