GLASGOW SEXUAL OFFENDER ABUSED MOTHER WITH 17 YEAR OLD IN THE NEXT ROOM
The case against WILLIAM JACKSON called for sentencing at Glasgow Sheriff Court on 3rd June 2025.William Jackson had plead guilty to the charge SEXUAL OFFENCES ( SCOTLAND ) ACT 2009 S2&3 at trial may 13th.
SETNECED TO; Imprisonment 21 months - Start Date 14/05/2025 SO & NHO 10 Years.
-- SURVIVORS STATEMENT -- The evidence for the two sexual assaults were practically conclusive.
The first assault occurred whilst I was asleep.
I had no idea it had happened until he sent me text messages the following morning, proudly descriptive of what he had done to me (without any consent).
He admitted to that in police interview and thus he was charged.
Then later made no plea?!
I just wanted everything to finish.
But he manipulated his way back into my life by leaving presents at my door, leering at me outside my window, crying down the phone to me, sending cards, leaving presents for my teenage daughter who he only happened to meet for about 3 minutes one night whilst she was waiting for a taxi.
The saddest part being that he then used the anniversary of his little baby son’s death (he died 20ish years prior to when the abuse began) to force me to take pity on him.
Needless to say, his tactics had me by the throat.
The last time I seen him he sexually assaulted me again - this time to my full awareness.
I was awake.
I was pleading for him to stop.
For so, so long.
He didn’t.
I didn’t want to do anything.
I pleaded non stop and all he said was ‘why.’ I told him my wee girl was due home any time soon.
(why the fuck did i have to give a reason for saying no.) I managed to get another 2 minute audio recording where I just kept begging ‘please stop.’ ‘wullie please.
i don’t want to do this.’ But he didn’t fucking stop.
I have another recording 7 minutes later, and I was only able to get this by pretending I was answering a text message from my daughter.
The first recording I am pleading with him to stop.
Bargaining with the fact my wee girl could walk through the door any second.
7 minutes later, you hear the same thing.
I am still pleading with him to stop.
By then I gave in and just willed it to be over so my daughter could come home and just think that everything was okay.
I called the police that weekend and they arrested him.
He admitted to the first charge in police interview, (the one whilst I was asleep.) I am unsure of the details for the second count or what his account was.
The police had all the evidence.
He then breached his bail conditions two days later and was re-arrested.
I was given no update from the police in regard to what happened with any of that.
Infact I never heard from the police again apart, everything was done through the rape crisis centre.
14 months later I was prepared for trial and was informed he had pled not guilty at his trial diets.
He then did plead guilty the morning the trial was due to go ahead for the two sexual assault charges.
The court called me to inform me they had accepted a guilty plea for those counts.
As far as I’m aware, the other two charges seemed to disappear into thin air that day.
He was remanded until sentencing, which was scheduled for 3 weeks later.
I got a phone call to say he appealed that and was subsequently released after one week.
At sentencing he received what is documented in the attached pictures.
The judge stated his sentence was in reflection to ‘the seriousness of his crimes’ and done so in the ‘interests of public safety as he poses a significant risk to women.’ I found out this week he now has a provisional appeal date for 26/08/2025 - in the high court in edinburgh.
After finally feeling somewhat safer for the last 3 months and able to walk my local area without him leering at me, driving past me, turning up in places he knows I go shopping etc, walking his dog directly across from my house window and so much more - realistically he could be doing all of this again in a matter of weeks and that terrifies me to the core.
(for the safety of every other family out there) that the first charge he received (the very first one he openly admitted to to the two officers interviewing him) occurred whilst not only was I asleep in my bedroom where he attacked me, my 17 year old daughter was alseep in the bedroom next to mine.
