MAN APPEARS IN COURT AFTER ALLEGED SEX ATTACK IN GLASGOW PROPERTY
A man has made an appearance in court charged with sexually assaulting a woman at a residence in Glasgow.
Mohamed Raouf Mezahdi, aged 40, attended a private hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, July 2.
The charges stem from an alleged sexual assault involving a 36-year-old woman in the Royston neighborhood between 9pm and 10pm on Tuesday, June 30.
During the court session, Mezahdi did not enter a plea.
He is scheduled to appear again within the next eight days.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland stated: “We received a report of a sexual assault involving a 36-year-old woman at a property in the Royston area of Glasgow, between 9pm and 10pm on Tuesday, 30 June, 2026.
A 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, 2 July.”
