GLASGOW DOMESTIC ABUSER CAGED FOR EIGHT-YEAR REIGN OF RAPE AND TERROR
A repeat offender is currently incarcerated after subjecting four women to traumatic experiences.The assaults took place between 2015 and 2023, primarily at various addresses in Glasgow's East End.
The first victim did not initially have any issues with Humble until he began to exhibit "controlling" behavior.
Prosecutor Shanti Maguire conveyed to the High Court in Glasgow: "He would also physically assault her through slaps, punches, pulling, as well as pinching her on the head and body.
He threw objects at her, hitting her with items such as game controllers, remote controls, and ashtrays.
"She concealed her injuries with makeup.
She did not tell friends or family nor seek medical help." Humble also verbally abused her, calling her cruel names.
The court was informed that she once had a brief work placement, and out of jealousy, Humble enrolled in a course there "to watch her with her colleagues." There was an instance of sexual violence, leaving the victim "petrified" of him.
Miss Maguire stated: "She was able to say 'no' only a few times before he became aggressive, and she felt forced to have sex because he threatened to hurt her." Humble prevented the second woman from talking to her sister or any other men.
The third victim was effectively held hostage at times because Humble would lock her front door and keep the keys.
The court heard he dictated what she should wear.
She sustained a severe hand injury after Humble, in a fit of rage, lashed out when she asked to leave a party.
The last woman also suffered abuse—she begged him to leave her flat, but he responded: "Make me." During one sexual assault, Humble attacked after she had just come out of the shower.
Miss Maguire added: "She resisted and managed to wriggle free to escape." She fled in a taxi to a friend's house, only dressed in pajamas and slippers.
A similar incident happened about a week later, during which the woman, sobbing, asked, "What have I done to deserve this?" Humble faced charges in 2024 following an investigation into his repeated abuse of the women.
He admitted to five charges, including raping the first victim, causing two incidents of fear and alarm, and engaging in abusive behavior toward the others.
It was revealed that Humble already had prior convictions for violence, threatening behavior, and breaching bail conditions.
Judge John McCormick ordered that he remain in custody while awaiting sentencing reports.
