TEACHER BANNED FROM PROFESSION INDEFINITELY FOR BEING IN POSSESSION OF INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN
During a hearing on professional conduct, a panel reviewed the allegations outlined in the notice of proceedings issued on 6 February 2025.It was claimed that Mr.
Atkins engaged in behavior that was either unacceptable for a professional or could potentially damage the reputation of the profession.
The specific allegations included: 1.
Prior to or in August 2017, he: a.
either created or kept one or more indecent images of minors; b.
possessed images depicting extreme pornography; c.
carried out searches related to pornography that were associated with his role as a teacher.

The panel also considered whether Mr.
Atkins's actions in points 1(a), 1(b), or 1(c) were motivated by sexual intent.
