NORTH WALSHAM MAN ADMITS SEX CHATS WITH YOUNG TEENAGERS
A man has been told prison has not been ruled out after he admitted sending sexual messages to young teens.William Abbott, 43, discussed wanting to have sex in messages with an online profile called 'Bi Boy' that he believed was a boy aged 14.
He also sent a photograph of an erect penis to another account that purported to be a 13-year-old girl for sexual gratification.
Abbott, of Birch Close in North Walsham, appeared at Norwich Crown Court having pleaded guilty to six separate sexual offences.
Other offences include three counts of making more than 70 indecent images of children, including category A - the most serious - and sending obscene messages.
They occurred between February and April 2024.
Judge Anthony Bate told him all options were open when he is sentenced on January 7.
He was granted bail but placed on the sex offenders’ register.
No evidence was offered by prosecutors to two further charges, attempted sexual communication and attempting to incite a young girl into sexual activity, that he denied.
