WESLEY ROBERTS FROM COVENTRY SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES BY WARWICK CROWN COURT
Wesley Roberts, commonly known as Wes, a resident of Coventry, became the focus of a serious criminal investigation conducted by an online child protection team.The team, which included members known as FEUK, Kram, Normy, and Chase, uncovered evidence of Roberts's involvement in activities that prompted his arrest on the 28th of May, 2022.
Following a thorough legal process, Roberts appeared before Warwick Crown Court to face charges related to his online conduct.
The court proceedings revealed that Roberts had engaged in grooming behaviors and had arranged and facilitated the commission of a child sex offence.
His communications were found to be sexually explicit and targeted at minors aged 13 and 14, which significantly heightened the severity of his crimes.
On the 27th of January, 2025, Roberts was formally sentenced for his actions.
The court handed down a sentence of 43 weeks in prison, which was suspended for a period of 18 months.
This means that Roberts will not serve time in prison unless he commits further offences within this period.
Additionally, the court imposed a 10-year sexual harm prevention order, restricting his activities and contact with minors to prevent any future harm.
He was also subjected to a 10-year notification requirement, mandating him to register with authorities and comply with ongoing monitoring and reporting obligations.
