WARREN GRAEVES BROMSGROVE STALKER SENTENCED AFTER HARASSMENT CAMPAIGN
The victim of a relentless stalking and harassment campaign in Bromsgrove has received commendation from local police for their bravery in coming forward and reporting the disturbing behavior.Warren Greaves, a resident of Worcester Road in Bromsgrove, was ultimately sentenced to fourteen months in prison after he pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to his prolonged campaign of intimidation and harassment.
Greaves’s criminal behavior spanned over two years, during which he engaged in a series of troubling actions aimed at his victim.
Despite the existence of legal protections, including a restraining order and interim stalking protection orders, Greaves repeatedly violated these court-issued restrictions.
His breaches of the orders demonstrated a blatant disregard for the law and further exacerbated the suffering of the victim and her family.
The court found him guilty of breaching the restraining order as well as twice breaching the interim orders that had been specifically designed to shield the victim from his unwanted attention.
Following the court proceedings, Sergeant Steve O’Neil expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, highlighting the police’s stance on such serious offenses.
He stated, “His prolonged campaign of stalking and harassment, and the flagrant breaches of the orders put in place, has caused a huge amount of distress to the victim.
We’re grateful for the full cooperation of the victim in this case who deserves recognition for the courage it took to come forward to report the offender.” The police department reaffirmed their commitment to vigorously investigating and prosecuting stalking cases, emphasizing the importance of supporting victims through the legal process.
They also encouraged individuals experiencing similar issues to seek assistance from the Victim Advice Line, a free and confidential service that provides advice, support, and guidance for those affected by crime.
