EDINBURGH CHEF VINCENT WALKER JAILED FOR STALKING AND RAPE
A chef named Vincent Walker, aged 30, who targeted lone women in Edinburgh by stalking them through the streets and committing sexual assaults including rape, has been sentenced to six years in prison at the High Court in Edinburgh.
The presiding judge, Lord Dawson, stated, "It is quite apparent to me you are a serious danger to women." The court noted that Walker had shown no remorse for his actions and would be registered as a sex offender.
After his release, he will also remain under supervision for a further three years.
Walker's attacks involved two women who were strangers to him; the first was a 23-year-old student from whom he fled after being disturbed, and the second was a professional woman raped on her doorstep.
Walker admitted to assaulting his first victim with intent to rape and was convicted of raping the second victim.
He was held in custody since September and was previously hospitalized due to concerns about a genetic condition that may have influenced his behavior.
