TYRONE FELTON CAUGHT IN NEATH SCHEME INVOLVING CARMARTHEN AND HAVERFORDWEST

A disturbing incident unfolded in Neath when Tyrone Felton, a 54-year-old delivery driver, was caught attempting to meet a schoolboy for sexual purposes. The events began when Felton arranged to meet what he believed was a 14-year-old boy, using social media as part of an undercover operation conducted by Tarian, the organized crime unit for southern Wales. The operation involved deploying a decoy profile, under the alias Dave1, to lure potential online sex offenders.

According to court proceedings, Felton initiated contact with the decoy profile, which was designed to resemble a teenage boy. The conversation quickly turned inappropriate, with Felton discussing school and explicitly asking about the boy’s underwear. He also inquired if he could 'accommodate' the boy if they were to meet. During their online chat, Felton claimed to be a delivery driver traveling from Cowbridge heading west towards Haverfordwest. The decoy and Felton agreed to meet at a public place in Carmarthen, where Felton planned to pick up the boy and then go to his house.

On the day of the planned meeting, Felton arrived at the designated location in his van during lunchtime. Unbeknownst to him, undercover police officers had been sent to the scene and were waiting for him. When Felton arrived, officers approached and conducted a search of his vehicle.
