Trevor Bate, 32, of Holland Street, Dudley, was caged for 10 years.
Both he and Philip Evans, 36, of Osprey Drive, Dudley, were cleared of murder but convicted of manslaughter.
Miller, of Wellington Road, was found in his living room by police in January after being struck several times by a gas bottle in a frenzied attack.
The 66-year-old had suffered multiple fractures to his head, face, ribs, and internal injuries.
Giving his verdict at Stafford Crown Court on December 21, Mr Justice Fulford said: "This form of vigilante justice can never be accepted in a civilised society."
