AIDEN DAVIES IN COURT OVER SERIES OF CHILD IMAGE OFFENCES
A man appeared before Dudley Magistrates’ Court today facing a significant list of child-image offences, including multiple allegations of creating indecent images and distributing them.Aiden Davies, whose case was listed at 9:30am under reference 20SW1394025, stood charged with repeatedly making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child.
The listing showed the same offence appearing numerous times, reflecting the scale of the alleged activity being brought before the court.
In addition to the creation charges, prosecutors also set out several counts alleging that Davies distributed indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child, suggesting the images were not only produced but circulated to others.
A further charge stated that he possessed a prohibited image of a child, an offence that carries its own criminal weight under UK law.
The case, prosecuted by CPS West Midlands, was marked as a first hearing, meaning Davies has only just begun the formal court process.
At this stage, no pleas were recorded in the public listing, and the court will determine in due course whether the matter will remain at the magistrates’ court or be sent up to the Crown Court due to its seriousness.
Offences involving the making and distribution of indecent images of children typically attract strong sentencing powers, with the most serious cases resulting in custodial terms and mandatory inclusion on the Sex Offenders Register.
Davies is expected to return to court as proceedings continue.
