BIRMINGHAM MAN JAILED FOR DRAGGING HIS PARTNER WITH HIS CAR & TELLING HER HE WAS GOING TO KILL HER
A man named Tony Carty, of Court Farm Road in Birmingham, was sentenced to one year in prison after he admitted to dangerous driving and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
The incident involved him driving towards pedestrians after a night out, during which he left his partner injured when he was involved in a violent altercation.
Court reports stated that he branded a metal pole at others and threatened to harm them, including threatening his own partner with the words: "You're dead, you're dead" while shouting and showing threatening behaviour.
He was considered a domestic abuser as well, with a judge noting his history of assault and threats, which contributed to his current sentence.
