MAN WHO RECORDED 465 PEOPLE USING TOILET JAILED
A man has received a prison sentence after being found guilty of recording and taking photographs of 465 individuals in public restrooms across Birmingham and Solihull.
Troy Green, aged 22 and residing on Vicarage Road in Soho, Birmingham, was taken into custody in August.
Authorities seized devices from his residence, which contained a total of 528 video recordings and images of his victims.
All the victims were filmed without their consent inside public toilets, with two of them identified as minors.
Green was sentenced to 22 months in prison, ordered to register as a sex offender for a decade, and will be subject to a sexual harm prevention order for the same duration.
He admitted to four charges involving voyeurism and the creation of indecent images of children, prior to his court appearance at Birmingham Crown Court on 15 April.
In police interviews, Green explained that his frequent use of public toilets was driven by an addiction to vaping, which he claimed was disapproved of by his family, and this was his main motivation for his behavior.
