Interestingly, the first email was unsigned, but a subsequent message was signed “Thomas Montguire,” indicating his direct involvement.

His first known violent act against a woman occurred shortly after they began dating in early 2004, when he slashed her with a Stanley knife, attacked her with a screwdriver, and kicked her, even when it was believed she might be pregnant. His violence escalated over the years, with a second girlfriend in 2006 being subjected to forced sex at knifepoint, and a third woman also being raped and battered repeatedly. His most recent victim, a woman he began dating in 2011, became pregnant, and he threatened her with violence, once pushing her against a wall and threatening to “feed her to the fishes.”

Despite his incarceration, Montguire continued to attempt to silence his victims and control their lives. He ordered violence against them and their families, demonstrating a persistent pattern of intimidation and brutality. His behavior from behind bars included making calls to his mother, during which he allegedly discussed plans to put witnesses under immense strain, even suggesting arson and violence.
