2007: MAN JAILED FOR STRING OF SEX ATTACKS
A man from Netherton has received a prison sentence of three years and nine months after being found guilty of multiple disturbing sexual assaults against juvenile boys.
Thomas Edwards, residing on Yew Tree Road, was convicted on two counts of indecently assaulting a young male.
At Wolverhampton Crown Court on Friday, May 25, Judge Nicholas Webb stated, "It is evident that you have had a longstanding sexual interest in young males." The judge emphasized that only a significant custodial sentence was suitable for the crimes committed, and he mandated that Edwards's license be extended by an additional three years upon his release.
Furthermore, Edwards, aged 56, was ordered to register as a sex offender for life and was permanently prohibited from working with children.
