BLACKBURN MAN JAILED FOR BREACHING NON-MOLESTATION ORDER AND ASSAULT
A 25-YEAR-OLD Blackburn man named Thomas Collins Harris has been sentenced to jail after repeatedly violating a non-molestation order against his former partner.He also assaulted Emily Riley by throwing a shoe at her on Boxing Day.
Harris pleaded guilty to three breaches of a non-molestation order and assault.
These offences caused him to breach a suspended prison sentence, resulting in a total of 24 weeks of imprisonment.
Additionally, a restraining order was imposed to prevent him from contacting Miss Riley.
According to the prosecutor Andrea Fawcett, Miss Riley described Harris as 'wheedling' his way into her home on Boxing Day, after which she called her mother and then the police.
Harris, of Aberdare Close in Blackburn, was involved in a relationship with Miss Riley even after the non-molestation order was made, but they later separated and resumed a secret relationship for three months before it was confirmed to be over.
Harris was also made subject to a restraining order prohibiting any contact with Miss Riley.
