TERENCE DONALD FROM NEWCASTLE SCOTSWOOD SENTENCED TO FOUR YEARS FOR INDECENT ASSAULT ON YOUNG BOY
A resident of Scotswood in Newcastle has been handed a four-year prison sentence after being found guilty of multiple counts of indecent assault against a young boy nearly two decades ago.The court proceedings revealed that Terence Donald, aged 51, had established a relationship with the young victim, during which he took the boy on various trips and outings.
It was during these encounters that the abuse occurred, according to the evidence presented to the jury.
Family members of Donald have publicly protested his conviction, asserting that he is innocent and that the charges are unfounded.
They have expressed their belief that he has been wrongly accused and are calling for justice to be re-evaluated.
As part of his sentencing, Donald has been placed on the sex offenders' register for life.
His prison term will run concurrently with three other four-year terms, effectively extending the period during which he will be monitored and restricted from contact with minors.
The case has garnered significant attention within the Newcastle community, highlighting ongoing concerns about child safety and justice for victims of abuse.
