PERVERT CAUGHT ON CCTV PERFORMING SEX ACT ON SELF IN TOWN CENTRE
A PERVERT has been spared jail after he was caught watching porn while performing a sex act on himself – in public in broad daylight.
The footage showed Singh sitting on a bench near Bridge Foot with his hand down his trousers while on his phone.
The 28-year-old, who can be seen to look around throughout, later laid down on the bench with his legs propped up.
The footage lasted for around five minutes, and showed Singh masturbating underneath his clothing while watching pornography on his phone.
Mr Farrow told the court that Singh only stopped when he was approached by police officers.
Appearing without legal representation but aided by an interpreter, Singh voiced his regret over the incident to the court.
“I made a big mistake,” he said.
“I am remorseful.
I regret it as my family got hurt.
“I really regret this, and I will never ever do this again because of this going in the news.” Singh was sentenced to a 12-month community order and must complete up to 20 rehabilitation activity days and 150 hours of unpaid work.
The 28-year-old must also pay a total of £199 in court costs.
