A man from Coventry has received a prison sentence of five and a half years following an incident in which he strangled a woman at her flat in Nuneaton.
The events unfolded on November 9, 2022, when Tayler Duncan and the woman were out in Nuneaton.
An altercation erupted during their time in the town, leading Duncan to attack the woman by biting her on the nose and spitting at her.
The dispute continued once they returned to her residence.
Duncan pulled out clumps of her hair, choked her, and afterwards punched her in the face, resulting in a black eye.
The 32-year-old, residing on Moor Street in Coventry, admitted to charges of intentional strangulation and assault.
Additionally, he was found guilty of two counts of intentionally strangling the same victim, two counts of assault, and one count of threatening to kill her, covering a period from July 2022 to March 2023 in Coventry.
